Savaria purchased a new building in Brampton and decided to move their existing facility to the new location with only a one week shutdown.
The project consisted of interior tenant fit-up for 127,000 sq. ft. for office and manufacturing/production space. Hammersmith was chosen as the construction managers and we were able to stay on budget and meet Savaria’s tight timelines. Our scope of work was to ensure the facility was ready to receive the installation of all of their equipment and be ready for a “flip the switch” start up. Areas of the slab had to be reinforced to accommodate some of the equipment and mechanical and electrical requirements had to be brought to each machine on the floor requiring extensive coordination with the manufacturing & production team.
Hammersmith successfully pulled together all consultants, permits, and finishing requirements on time and on budget.
