Unilever Canada engaged the Construction Management Services of Hammersmith to complete the build-out of this 102,000 sq. ft. facility. The Project involved five floors, to be completed in two phases, over 16 weeks. Hammersmith researched sub-trades and selected firms that could handle the tight schedule with quality, output and good internal administration skills.
The first phase was complete on May 1, 2004 and consisted of 36,000 sq. ft., including a test kitchen, staff lounge, servery, two oasis areas, customer holding area, two hub rooms and numerous copy, supply and storage rooms. A Unique feature of the project was the seamless glass office fronts, including frameless glass doors.
Phase 2 commenced on May 10, 2004 and was complete by July 16, 2007, in accordance with Unilever’s schedule.
