Hammersmith have been retained as Construction Managers for the renewal of this 7-storey Office facility and underground multi-level parking garage. Upgrades to the exterior included a new curtain wall, a 6-storey structural infill at the Building’s prominent corner, to expand square footage and enhance the overall image of the facility, new entrance canopies and a fullheight glass façade at street-level.
Interior works included: Complete upgrades to all mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems. Removal and upgrades to all building core facilities, washrooms and lobbies, including a back-up power generator, below-grade parking garage improvement and a building Security system.
Hammersmith have also worked closely with the Landlord in assisting them to secure future tenants. Hammersmith were awarded the Construction Management contract for a 75,000 sf single tenant fit-up, utilizing all floors, by Thomas Cook Canada. The entire building will be home to the Canadian Head Office and includes a Data and Call Centre. The main lobby will house their Main Reception and Retail area.
