Hammersmith was selected as Construction Managers for the complete renovation and interior improvements for the London Courthouse facility. This project entails a multi-phased construction program in an occupied building.

The project scope is approximately 76,000 sq. ft. of renovation and alteration work over different floors within 80 Dundas Courthouse building, including increasing the number of hearing rooms, two additional prisoner holding cells as well as additional judicial suites and chambers. The project also includes the relocation of the library, lounge, and robing areas, and the consolidation of court administration. There will also be leasehold improvement work required for the two departments, Probation and Parole, and the Coroner’s Office, which are to be relocated outside of the facility.

All construction work will be required to be carried out after hours. Disruption from the relocations and renovations is anticipated to be minor as court operations must be maintained.
